When the MDEP Steering Technical Committee (STC) members agree on areas in which it believes MDEP can make contributions to enhancing aspects of safety reviews, the STC may publish position papers or other documents in an effort to clarify its position on a particular regulatory matter.
The STC has discussed the issue of high level safety goals and offers its position paper on this matter. This document will be one of several discussed at the IAEA technical meeting on safety goals to be held in Vienna on 11-15 April 2011.
