You may observe that some tables are reduced to two data points, e.g. the ^{232}U fission neutron energy distribution from JEFF-3.1.1 table show only 0 and 50 MeV as E' values.

In this case, 0 and 50 MeV are the bounds of the E' range.

As you can observe in plots, JANIS can compute interpolated values in the whole E' range.

To compute interpolated values in the table, check the “interpolated values” checkbox and choose between two sampling modes:

linear:

The linear sampling mode requires to enter a “step” value. This step value must be followed by a measurement unit, for example enter ‘5E+6 eV’ or ‘5 MeV’ or ‘5000 keV’.

logarithmic:

The logarithmic mode requires to enter a “per decade” value. This value indicates in how many ranges a decade will be divided, for example enter ‘2’ to obtain values for 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, … or ‘4’ for 1, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 25, 50, ….

Note: the maximum number of rows in a table is set to 100 000, so JANIS will reject too small steps or too large per decade values.

To modify E' range, use the fields “min=” and “max=”. Clicking on the buttons reset E' range to its initial value.
