How to restore connection to the DVD databases
Please note that the database provided on the JANIS 3.0 and 3.2 DVDs includes ENDF, EXFOR and CINDA in a single database labeled 'Local'.
Unfortunately it is not possible with the interface to rebuild exactly the same but the three parts can be loaded individually.
If you want to restore the 'Local' database then you may consider erasing your local settings file because this will restore everything to
the factory state (all preferences, including default databases). The JANIS 3.0 and 3.2 settings file is named 'janis_636_settings.txt' and is located in your 'home folder'.
Here are common locations of this folder under different operating systems:
Windows 2000, XP
C:\Documents and Settings\<your login>
Windows Vista, 7
C:\Users\<your login>
Mac OS X
/Users/<your login>
Unix system (Linux…)
/home/<your login>

Apply the same steps with the following differences:
You will have to choose another Label, for example "EXFOR"
In "JDBC URL" field enter jdbc:h2:F:\database\exfor\exfor, if F:\ is the path to you DVD drive
CINDA database
Apply the same steps with the following differences:
In "Type:" drop down list select CINDA200x
You will have to choose another Label, for example "CINDA"
In "JDBC URL" field enter jdbc:h2:F:\database\cinda\cinda, if F:\ is the path to you DVD drive
You won't have to specify a path to data files (Root folder) because the CINDA database do not use any.
