Designers, utility executives, regulators and researchers from eighteen
countries and four international organisations met in Paris on 18-20
February 2002 to identify safety issues of importance for advanced nuclear
reactors, outline possible paths to resolve them, and define necessary

At an international forum held on 12-14 February 2002 in Sicily, Italy,
the NEA together with the International Commission on Radiological Protection
(ICRP), initiated an international process for the development of a
new, broad-ranging policy on radiological protection of the environment.
