Nuclear safety

Designers, utility executives, regulators and researchers from eighteen countries and four international organisations met in Paris on 18-20 February 2002 to identify safety issues of importance for advanced nuclear reactors, outline possible paths to resolve them, and define necessary research in this respect. Radiation protection

At an international forum held on 12-14 February 2002 in Sicily, Italy, the NEA together with the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), initiated an international process for the development of a new, broad-ranging policy on radiological protection of the environment.
