The conference provides a forum for exchange of information and of the most recent research results on the behaviour of clays in the context of radioactive waste disposal, both as natural and engineered barriers. As such, the conference will cover in particular the work performed by the NEA Clay Club which has provided high participation and support strong also for the previous meetings.

This meeting will provide a forum for world-wide experts in reactor physics, nuclear power plant
design and related technologies to discuss most recent developments, both analytical and
experimental, in areas such as nuclear safety, advanced systems, high-performance computing,
research reactors and non-power nuclear applications.

The regional congress of the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) will examine
radiation protection topics and offers an opportunity for high-level and open discussion about the
latest finding in radiation research and challenges in radiation safety and security.

The primary purpose of the congress is to transfer knowledge from the current generation of leading
scientists and engineers to the next generation. Scientific, political, public and corporate views
regarding the development of different nuclear issues will be presented to provide comprehensive
discussions on all sides of the subject. Since it is the youth who will go on to deal with all nuclear
prospects and challenges in the future, open and candid commentary from this younger generation will be encouraged.

The DD&R Topical Meeting is a forum for the discussion of the social, regulatory, scientific, and technical aspects of decontamination, decommissioning, and reutilization, and waste management.
The 2010 conference program will include lessons learned derived from commercial, government, and international project updates and technology developments in the areas of decommissioning, waste management, site closure and legacy management. In addition to a comprehensive technical program, there will be a Technology Expo, technical tours, and numerous fun activities and opportunities for attendees and guests to enjoy Idaho Hospitality at its finest.

This ISOE symposium is organised to provide a regional forum to promote information exchange of ideas and management approaches to maintaining occupational radiation exposures "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA). It is designed to meet the needs of nuclear utility and regulatory authority professionals with responsibilities in the areas of occupational radiation exposure control and health physics. The objective is for participants to exchange occupational dose reduction practices and lessons learnt to improve occupational radiation protection in nuclear power facilities worldwide. The conference will also provide a forum for information exchange between vendors and other members of the industry.

The aim of the conference is to discuss recent research accomplishments, the status, and trends in high performance computing, numerical simulation and physical modelling in nuclear science and
engineering.

The Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) has become one of the most important international events in the nuclear industry, and not only for the countries sharing the Pacific Rim. PBNC covers all areas in the nuclear power industry, plus research and development activities directed to the application of nuclear energy. The last PBNC, 2008, took place in Japan where about 600 attendees shared their experiences and knowledge in their respective areas of expertise.

EAFORM is principally open to all research organizations and others related to radioactive waste management. The purpose of EAFORM is to promote information exchange, to share knowledge and to encourage international collaboration in a bilateral or multilateral mode. To strengthen these objectives, the “EAFORM Management Committee” was organized to coordinate the interactions and communications among the institutes. EAFORMs have been held biannually since 2006. The first EAFORM was held in Taiwan-area (2006) and the next was held in Japan-area (2008).

This meeting is the seventh in a series of topical meetings addressing this important technology area. The first conference was held in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, in 1993. With the recent high-profile attention directed toward addressing challenges and opportunities posed by the implementation and licensing of digital instrumentation, control and human-machine interface (ICHMI) systems, NPIC&HMIT 2010 provides a timely opportunity to bring key nuclear power stakeholders together to share current findings and recent experience while providing a venue for assessing progress and identifying remaining issues.
