The fifth phase of the TDB project started in April 2014 for a duration of four years.
The goal, objectives and methodology remain unchanged: to provide access to a comprehensive, internally consistent, internationally recognised and quality-assured chemical thermodynamic database of selected chemical elements. This database should meet the specialised modelling requirements for safety assessments of radioactive waste disposal systems.
A first priority of TDB V will be:
The programme of work also includes an exploratory stage for the preparation of a state-of-the-art report on the thermochemical extrapolation of data to non-standard state temperatures.
Funding for this new phase of the TDB project is provided by the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency and the following 15 organisations:
NIRAS / ONDRAF, Belgium
RAWRA, Czech Republic
All publicly available data from the project (the same as all material of any public interest) can be found in the TDB review reports and in the files with selected data. In order to access the files containing selected data, you must first register.
