ENDF/B-VI, Release 8

The fourteenth distribution of the ENDF/B-VI data tapes was released in October 2001. The distribution includes eight new tapes for the neutron induced sublibrary, as well as three new sub-libraries comprising an Atomic Relaxation data library, an Electro-Atomic Interaction data library and a Photo-Atomic Interaction data library.
The neutron induced sub-library contains eight completely new evaluations, as well as updates of secondary gamma spectra for 33 other evaluations, 15 fission product evaluations (new and updated), 12 minor revisions and the conversion of 3 tin isotopes from ENDF/B-V.
Please note that all other sublibraries remain unchanged from Release 7 and are shown at the bottom of the page.

The complete ENDF/B-VI Archive Tape for the Incident Neutron Sublibrary is available (tape_n_all.eb68) 108,284,120 bytes or in a gzipped file (tape_n_all.eb68.gz) 25,562,211 bytes
(this includes the relevant parts of tape 100 (B-VI.4 part of tape superseded), tapes 139-144 (B-VI.5 part of tape superseded), tapes 145-153 (B-VI.6), tapes 154-155 (B-VI.7) and tapes 156-163 (B-VI.8) giving only the latest evaluation for each isotope).
Or an alternative archive (in tar format then gzipped) (archive_n_all.eb68.tar.gz) 25,592,799 bytes is available which contains the complete ENDF/B-VI.8 library (as one file per isotope).
NOTE: ALL of the above release 8 tapes (156-163 and 709-711) contain the new sequencing style,
i.e. placing 99999 at the end of each section.

The previous tape releases have been loaded using the tape numbers given below and are also available for download. Please note that none of these have changed since release 7 and many have not changed since the original release of the ENDF/B-VI file, i.e. for most users there is probably no need to download these again.

Please note: the numbering of the tapes shown in these files relates to the numbers originally allocated by Brookhaven National Laboratory (the issuing centre for the ENDF/B library). These are not always consistent with those used at the NEA.
