The Fall 2012 Nuclear Data Week was organised at the NEA Headquarters to promote co-operation between experimentalists, evaluators and end-users of nuclear data. The JEFF File project held its bi-annual meetings and a Workshop on Nuclear Data Measurements. In addition, the NEA hosted two meetings organised by Subgroups 33 and 38 of the Working Party on International Nuclear Data Evaluation Co-operation (WPEC).
Contact:
This workshop covered the status of current experimental programmes with emphasis on integral experiments designed to validate or improve evaluated nuclear data and their uncertainties.
The JEFF and EFF/EAF meetings covered progress in nuclear data activities aiming at further improving the JEFF files for fission and fusion applications.
SG33 activities cover methods and issues in the combined use of integral experiments and covariance data with the objective of recommending a set of best practices in order to improve evaluated nuclear data files.
SG38 objective is to define a modern database structure beyond ENDF. This workshop was the opportunity to discuss advantages/drawbacks of the current format and requirements for a new one.
