3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION

Elastic and inelastic nuclear scattering described by a two-body interaction which can depend on the nuclear density. DWBB07 allows to compute any observable for any non zero-spin target, combining the results obtained by DWBA07 for different spin transfers.

NEW VERSION DIFFERS FROM PREVIOUS VERSION IN THE FOLLOWING FEATURES
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The present version corrects DWBA05/DWBB05 for which the exchange term of the two-body Coulomb interaction was absent.
In the previous version, when computing single particle-hole contributions,
to be used with DWBB, the first four phase-shifts of the last particle-hole calculation were wrong. In our test case, the difference for the total cross-section was less than 0.2%. The name of the program has also been changed to DWBA07/DWBB07 to indicate these corrections.

4. METHOD OF SOLUTION

The distorted wave Born approximation is used to describe the inelastic scattering on a zero-spin target to a state known by its particle-hole description. Besides the optical model, DWBA07 includes a fully microscopic non local optical model obtained with the description of the target by its occupation numbers and with the two-body interaction for the initial and final distorted waves. The effective interaction can be the one obtained by fitting some nucleon-nucleon potential or nucleon-nucleon elastic scattering. This effective interaction may comprise central, spin-orbit, tensor, L**2 and (LS)**2 operator components with Yukawa form factors and complex density dependent strengths.

5. RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM

The M1 electromagnetic transition is out of the scope of DWBA07 because it is not included in the nucleon-nucleon interaction taken into account. On the contrary, the El transition is an effective part of the Coulomb interaction as considered in this code.

6. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

The test problems included in the package require between 2 and 15 minutes CPU time.

7. UNUSUAL FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM

In order to keep the non-local potential (for the calculation of the incoming and outgoing wave) a large scratch data set can be used (default logical unit 8).

8. RELATED AND AUXILIARY PROGRAMS

DWBB07 allows to compute any observable for any non zero-spin target, combining the results obtained by DWBA07 for different spin transfers. With respect to DWBB98, the possibility to combine results of DWBA07 obtained for single particle-hole excitations can be used to study different excited states at about the same energy.
